Hi, I'm Mae McGraw

For many years, I taught English at a public high school, so I
love reading and writing. American history is my passion too,
especially Civil War history. The 1860s brought turmoil and
unprecedented change, and I often wondered how everyday
people reacted to such an upheaval in their lives. In my novel I
explore that, along with a murder mystery of course.
I have published a few nonfiction articles and one short story,
“Getting Away with Murder” in Detective Mystery
Stories magazine as Kim Wuescher. I am a member of Sisters
in Crime and the Northeast Ohio Sisters in Crime chapter,
NEOSinC.

I enjoy traveling to Civil War sites and to all historical areas of
the country. When possible, I take time to play golf. If I’m not in
Ohio, the setting for my novel, you’ll find me anywhere near the
blue waters of Michigan with my family and friends. I am
married with two adult children.
